1Pick your profile and type your code

The till's home screen asks Who is taking the order?. Tap your name, then type your 4-digit PIN. This code is set on your staff record, under Team › Staff.

Working the till on your own? Tick Do not ask for my code again during this session: your card then shows Quick access, and one tap brings you straight back.

Tip — Your name is missing? On your staff record, the Handles the till switch must be on.

2Enter your cash float

The first time you take the till, it asks for your Cash float: the cash you start with. Type the amount, then tap Open the till. It only asks again once your session has been closed.

3Add products to the ticket

Tap a product to add it. Categories sit at the bottom of the screen, and the Search for a product… bar finds one by name. If a product comes in sizes or with options, a window lets you choose them.

The ticket fills up on the right. The − and + buttons change the quantity; tap a line to edit it or Delete it. At the top of the ticket, choose Eat in, Takeaway or Delivery. On a phone, the ticket opens from the bar at the bottom.

4Take the payment

Tap Take payment. The Payment window shows the amount due.

  • If your business accepts several payment methods, tap the customer's one.
  • For cash, Amount received is already filled in with the total. If the customer hands over more, type the amount or tap a quick amount: the Change due appears.
  • For any other method there is nothing to type: the exact amount is paid.

Tap Confirm.

5Hand over the ticket

The till shows the ticket number (with the change due, for cash), and the ticket goes to the printer. At the counter, it then returns to the home screen, ready for the next customer.

Tip — The methods on offer are set in Settings › Payment methods. The first one in the list is picked by default: put the one your customers use most at the top.

In restaurant mode (Pro plan), the till opens the floor plan first: tap a table, or Direct sale to take payment at the counter.
